ciao for now: meaning - WordSense
I’ve noticed that we usually have what I call “pre-byes” — phrases we use to show that we’re about to leave the conversation.
Overall, I cannot resist the charm of one of the most spectacular cities in the world. This extremely swoon-worthy, engaging, inspirational romcom is absolutely one of my favorite works by Kate Bromley! falling for her fashion professor’s son cannot happen, especially when she’s got a competition to win

But is Violet willing to sacrifice her dreams for this man? Or will she need to say "Ciao" to her chance at love? What Violet doesn't expect is Matteo: her professor’s son. Matteo's immediate contempt and animosity toward Violet is just as palpable as the chemistry between them. Forced to spend the summer together, they find their feelings are shifting from "I can't stand you" to "I can't stand to be away from you." I just love snarky flirty banter… grumpy/sunshine and especially… enemies to lovers!! This is ALL of that!!😍😍I have been meaning to read a novel by Kate Bromley for a while now, and I'm thrilled I started with Ciao For Now. There are quite a few different tropes woven into it, such as forced proximity and enemies to lovers, and it was a wonderful romcom that I would definitely watch if it were made into a movie. Much of the book is set in Rome which I loved, but I also really enjoyed that it ended in New York with Violet realizing precisely what she needs to do. The book is told entirely from her perspective, which I thought worked quite well for the storyline, and she grows quite a bit by the novel's end. I also loved the focus on fashion and despite this being a romance, it is also about Violet's journey and how she pursues her passion for design. Bromley follows Talk Bookish to Me with another delightful rom-com, a jaunt around London involving dates with strangers and an unconventional theater production sweetened by tail-wagging Ollie, who has a way of bringing folks together. Bromley's joyful romance is sure to please.”— Booklist
