Little has been confirmed about where the script for the film goes, but in the book, a Megalodon baby called Angel escapes her enclosure and kills three teenage boys, sending Jonas Taylor (Jason Statham) on a quest to capture and kill her. The Nun 2 Nicholas Hoult will lead the cast as the titular character Renfield. It is his first time in a leading role since the release of drama movie Tolkien, in 2019, in which the actor played the creator of the Lord of the Ringsand Middle-earth, JRR Tolkien. This will be a completely different shift in gears as the actor pivots to comedy and horror. December then brings DC sequel Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom and the all-singing, all-dancing Wonka, among other treats.
