The Last Devil to Die by Richard Osman | Waterstones
I’m ‘dying’ to learn the title of the new book 4, due out in September 2023. Loved books 1-3 and have read them multiple times…just can’t sit to hear that Richard will continue to write more and more! Reply If Richard told the sixteen year old version of himself that he would end up writing a book, he would say, yes of course, it makes total sense. This is because at sixteen, he spent all his time with some paper and a pen, mainly just writing down jokes. Younger him would be incredibly proud of writing a novel however the first thing he would ask is how many copies did he sell? Richard’s also been a regular on game and panel shows like Would I Lie to You, Have I Got News For Your, and Taskmaster.
Viking snapped up two further Thursday Murder Club novels and two in a new series to launch in 2024. Harriet Bourton, publisher, acquired UK rights from Osman’s agent Juliet Mushens at Mushens Entertainment. i have just read The Man Who died twice, after a recommendation from a friend, I loved it and cannot wait to find the other two books when I return home from my hip replacement
The Last Devil To Die: Thursday Murder Club, Book 4
THE SECOND NOVEL IN THE RECORD-BREAKING, MILLION-COPY BESTSELLING THURSDAY MURDER CLUB SERIES BY RICHARD OSMAN A local developer is discovered dead with a mysterious picture left next to the body, The Thursday Murder Club find themselves in the middle of their first live case all of a sudden. While the corpses start piling up, could our unorthodox yet brilliant group catch this killer, before time runs out?The idea came to him when he had a perfectly pleasant yet uneventful lunch to his mom’s friend in a retirement community. He noticed that the people were busy and rushing everywhere. Richard started chatting and found there to be some wit, talent, a sense of mischief, and wisdom of that generation. Then he thought it would be a great setting for a murder story. Then throw the very worst at each of them and see how they are able to deal with it. He wrote this novel in secret as he worked his other jobs before he sprung it on eager agents. In all, it took him eighteen months to write it. He gave it a month, then thought he quite liked it. Richard was doing a little bit less producing, and an idea came to him when he had the time and some discipline.
