About this deal
She hopes to someday write from a sailboat, oceanfront condo, or tropical island with reliable Wi-Fi. You make me feel things. And after going long enough without feeling anything, feeling something--even if its anger or adrenaline--is better than the nothing." Nash says this, but it honestly could apply to both Nash and Lina.

i honestly wish i hated nash so that i can shit on him and have fun doing it. but i cant because i dont hate him, i dont care about him. he’s just so dull. boring. vanilla. no wait scratch that, vanilla has too much flavour. plain yogurt. thats what he is.Having Lina essential for him to feel again reminds him of his father’s addiction to go on with life. the secondary characters stole the spotlight for me. i really enjoyed seeing the Knox & Noami cameos and of course my babies Lucian and Sloane. all my highlights for this book are actually their scenes and september 5 can’t come sooner enough. Come può salvare qualcuno, essere il capo della polizia, se non é nemmeno riuscito a salvare se stesso?

Lina’s and Nash’s story wasn’t the one I was looking forward the most to be honest. But it was the one I most definitely needed right now. the first spooning scene 😅. I don't know how it all happened, how A got to B, but... I🔥WAS🔥HERE🔥FOR🔥IT!!!! It helped relieve some of the... um... tension I was feeling because of this slow burn 😉 It was a feeling. Some kind of magic. A rightness, I guess. It definitely didn’t make any logical sense. On paper we couldn’t be more ill-suited to each other. But there was something so right about how it felt to be with him.”I enjoyed it, but not as much as TWNGO. TWHFTL has a very different feel to it, mostly because Nash is dealing with PTSD and depression after what happened at the end of book 1. Most of this book is Nash dealing with the aftermath, all while lusting over his new neighbor, Lina. He adopts the most adorable dog named Piper to help with his mental health, who I loved SO much. I love reading about dogs who have big personalities in books! Why can't I find a 5 star Lucy Score book?! Skip to the end for my theories. Otherwise this book was a great read and my review is below.*

Lucian and Sloane. Yeah. They get their own bullet. OMG THE TENSION 🔥 was just as 😮💨 as that of Lina and Nash! 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻. Not me looking forward to seeing side characters that haven't gotten their book yet👀. JEEEZUS... I know that their book is going to be 🔥🔥. I couldn’t help but highlight some of their interactions. It’s going to be LITTTTT (yeah. I know. It’s a trite expression, but I don’t care 🤷🏻♀️🤣) Nash is, at heart, just an absolute sweetheart who's going through a tough time. I loved how he fell first and just went head over heels when it came to Lina. We do get a ton of all the side characters, which made me so happy because we get alllll setup for Lucian and Sloane's romance, which is coming next. I CANNOT WAIT! I know I'm going to be so sad when it's here and I'll have to let go of these town and characters. i was over the moon with all the luciansloane moments & set up for book 3 AND with all the perfect knoxnaomi moments. feels like i read just for themAnd further down that discussion she said to Lucian:” You’re like a little kid showing off the terrible finger painting you did at school expecting me to be impressed. If I hang it on the refrigerator, will you go away?” I recommend this book for its amazing writing and story but it’s a definitely must-read for fans of small-town romance, romance books with mental illness themes and wounded heroes.
