This Girl (Slammed, 3)
About this deal
What is life like after the wedding and you finally know you are where your suppose to be? That is what we get to find out in This Girl. What I enjoyed about this book is that we get to relive some of the best parts of Slammed and Point of Retreat from Wills point of view while still moving forward with their story. We get a deeper look in to Will before he met Lake and how he feels right at the moment. These two have had a hard life but they get the happily ever after that they deserve and they don't have to call Retreat anymore. This story revealed some new information that doesn't sit well with Lake and he has to learn to move on from Wills past to move on to their Future. Having Lake asking Will to retell how they met is sweet and you can see how Much they love each other. I want so bad to push the thought out of my head that this is the last time I’m going to hold her like this—but I know it’s true. I know once we separate, it’s over. There’s no way I can continue to be around her with the way she consumes my every thought. I know, deep down, that this is goodbye.
Usually when I read CoHo books, I am instantly hooked and transported into whatever world she’s created. I love that about her writing and very few authors can accomplish that feat again and again. However, it’s not a good sign when I’m only 10% into this book and I feel ranty and restless. Here’s why: The Seasonal Read...: Summer Challenge 2012: Completed Tasks - DO NOT DELETE ANY POSTS IN THIS TOPICI was sad finishing the book knowing that I had to say goodbye to some of my favorite characters but it was worth it in the end. All good things must come to an end right? I would love to see how Kel and Caulder grow up and get a look at how developed with a Brother and Sister raising them. I pull away and stand up, turning away from her. I run my hands through my hair and take a deep breath. The anger building inside me is suddenly coupled by tears that I have no intention of letting her see. This book is just amazing! Colleen Hoover has done it again! She is so talented!! Just love alllllll of her books! She is my fav author! 🙂
I was expecting a shrine dedicated to her. I couldn't stop rolling my eyes.. Not only is Miles the wounded hero with the tortured past, he was also just blah. This man had no expression and I get he had an invisible wall but still.. I just couldn't find his character attractive.
I’ll take her burdens, should there be any more, and I’ll be able to carry them for her. It’s all I’ve wanted to do for this girl since the moment I first laid eyes on her.
I've always found guys more attractive when they put less effort into trying to appear attractive." (58) I sigh, pretending to be annoyed. “Well, it’s just a few hours. Hopefully she won’t burp a lot and boss me around and steal my coffee and sing to her really bad music and leave her bra in my car.”
