A downspout replacement is where you cut off part of the downpipe and place the water butt directly below it. This will require the installation of an overflow pipe.

A loss/replacement can only be pursued in line with the target delivery times of the courier or once the courier accept loss.

Once that is in place, you can then attach the diverter to the water butt. Always start with the downspout. You can always move the water butt to the appropriate place, however, you will find it rather difficult to move the house.

To prevent water butt overflow, ensure the correct fitting or installation of an overflow mechanism, regularly maintain and clean the water butt and surrounding area, monitor rainfall levels, consider using a rainwater diverter kit, and use water efficiently.

For the majority of residential single pithed rooves (<50m2) a 32mm overflow will suffice for the majority of storms conditions.
